ely buendia: deal or no deal?

apparently, luck wasn't on ely's side the night he played in abs-cbn's deal or no deal. it was shown yesterday night (aug13, wednesday) but i bet it was taped as live (TAP) around the month of july 'cause when kris asked him to promote about the eraserheads' reunion concert set on august 30, he said it wasn't confirmed yet. hello, the rumors about the reunion concert has leaked early july and it's been in the news for more than two weeks now. so is it that obvious?

anyway, in the show, ely chose not to open his briefcase and made a deal out of P120k. it wasn't bad for a deal. after all, it was way, much, much better than going home with a pitiful P25.

but, was i glad to see ely on television again. he is kind of thin than his usual built and his eyes were deeper like he hasn't slept for 2 days. must be due to his past illness though he's now in a stable condition after undergoing heart angioplasty twice. had matured but became cuter to my taste. and he has a more friendly aura than before. you know, he's got a too snubby and morose image then. ok, ok, he's just a shy-type of guy. geeezzz...
